Managing Partner & Co-Founder

Shay is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner at GATE Partners and Greenfield Partners.

Shay spent the early years of his career founding, operating, and maturing early growth technology companies. He then joined Thylacine Capital to lead the alternative investing activity.

Shay has an undergraduate degree from Fairleigh Dickenson University and an EMBA from Columbia Business School.

General Partner

Raz Mangel is a General Partner at GATE Partners.

Raz joined Greenfield in 2018 as part of TPG Growth and has been a core member of the team that built Greenfield into an independent investment platform. He played a central role in shaping the firm’s strategy, establishing its investment focus, and building its portfolio from inception.

Prior to Greenfield, Raz was an investment banker at Barclays, where he advised leading technology companies across software, semiconductors, financial services, and healthcare on M&A, capital markets, and financing transactions. Earlier in his career, he worked at EY’s Transaction Advisory practice and Tefen Management Consulting.

He holds a B.A. with a double major in Accounting and Economics from Tel Aviv University, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Before joining GATE Partners, Itay spent 6 years leading technology investments at Greenfield. Prior to that, Itay was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs, working with management teams across sectors on IPOs, M&A, and other private and public capital raises.

Itay holds a Bachelor’s Degree, Double Major in Accounting and Economics from Tel Aviv University.
